In 2008 we received a grant for Project Homeless Connect through the Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness. The Continuum of Care for Lapeer County then developed a ten year plan to end homelessness. Members of the Continuum of Care volunteered to set up a committee to coordinate the first event which was held on January 29, 2009 at the American Legion in the city of Lapeer. Over 300 people in need were serviced during this event. Our second event was moved to the the Lapeer Center Building.
